Application Process and Expectations
- High Volume of Inquiries:
Due to the large number of inquiries I receive, I can only respond to applicants who meet my current research needs. If I am interested, I will contact you to schedule an interview.
If you do not hear back, it likely means that:- All positions are currently filled, or
- Your background does not align with my current research priorities.
Please refrain from sending follow-up or reminder emails.
- English Language Proficiency:
At the time of joining the team, you must demonstrate strong English proficiency. Acceptable scores include:- IELTS: Minimum overall score of 7.0, with no section below 7.0.
- TOEFL: Minimum overall score of 97, with at least 25 in Writing and no other section below 24.
If your scores are not yet at this level but you are confident you can achieve it before joining, you may still apply, provided you meet the other requirements.
- Academic Requirements:
- Undergraduate GPA: The GPA of your last two years (at least 20 full-credit courses) must exceed 3.0/4.0.
- Master’s GPA: Your MSc GPA must exceed 3.5/4.0.
Applicants who do not meet these thresholds may still be considered if they have an exceptional record of publications or other evidence of excellence.
- Technical Skills and Focus Areas:
Programming: Proficiency in Python or Julia is required.
