Research focus
Managing grid operation and planning uncertainty in presence of behind-the-meter resources. This line of research will explore the use of artificial intelligence, new fuel sources, proliferation of distributed solar and battery systems, changes in utility business models, new technological advancements and emerging areas for democratizing the grid (peer-to-peer energy transactions, distribution level markets for prosumers markets). AI and data-driven grid operations.
My research is supported by the University of Calgary and the Alberta Power Industry Consortium (APIC).
